Photography Rate

Everyone’s work is different, my rate is depending upon the type of work and time spent on photographing and editing. Below is a general idea on what to expect.  You can always contact me directly for an estimate. When inquiring for a quote, please tell me: the quantity, approximate dimension of the work and a brief description of the material/medium. A phone snap of the work can be helpful too. This helps me to estimate a more accurate quote for the job.

EXHIBITION DOCUMENTATION: photographed in ambient light of the gallery / exhibition space, they’re mainly photos of multiple art pieces installed in a gallery space. 

Individual Package (Artist / Solopreneur): $450

  1. 10 - 15 images of exhibition

  2. Each image comes with 

    high res jpeg (5MB) for viewing and 

    tiff for printing up to 8” x 12”

  3. A customized color profile 

  4. Basic color correction and lens correction

The package does not include: 

  1. Extensive retouching STARTS at $50 additional per image

  2. Additional image is $20 per image

Organization Package (Gallery / Museum): $700 day rate

  1. Tethered photography

  2. 15 - 20  images of (each) exhibition

  3. Each image comes with

    1. high res jpeg (5MB) for viewing and 

    2. tiff for printing up to 8” x 12”

  4. A customized color profile 

  5. Basic color correction and lens correction

The package does not include:

  1. Extensive retouching STARTS at $50 additional per image

  2. Additional image is $30 per image

Student package: $250

  1. 10 - 15 images of exhibition, each image comes with high res jpeg (5MB) for viewing

  2. A customized color profile 

  3. Basic color correction and lens correction

The package does not include: 

  1. Tiff files for printing - These are an additional $5 per image

  2. Extensive retouching STARTS at $35 additional per image

  3. Additional image is $15 per image



INDIVIDUAL WORK / CATALOGUING

This type of service includes photographing 2D (drawing, painting, photographs, framed prints etc.) or 3D (free standing sculptures, textile based work, jewelry, installations, etc). Each individual piece of art is photographed with professional studio lights, If you do not have sufficient space my studio located in Midtown Sacramento is available for you to bring work over.

All cataloguing work are tethered to a computer screen.

Artists / Curator / Collectors / Galleries:

  • Rate for 2D: $35 - $55 per image per work. (The final rate is determined by the size, medium and finish of the work)

  • Rate for 3D: $45 - $70 per image per work. (Photographing 3D work generally necessitates more time and attention to lighting in order to best accentuate the physical quality of the work)

  • Any additional image of the same work STARTS at $20 for 2D and $30 for 3D per image. 

  • Every image comes with a 5MB jpeg for viewing and tiff for printing up to 8”x12”.

  • A $50 fee is applied for any job less than $500 to cover equipment setup and admin costs. 

Students:

  • Rate for 2D: $30 - $45 per image per work. (The final rate is determined by the size, medium and finish of the work)

  • Rate for 3D: $40 - $55 per image per work. (Photographing 3D work generally necessitates more time and attention to lighting in order to best accentuate the physical quality of the work)

  • Any additional image of the same work STARTS at $15 for 2D and $20 for 3D per image. 

  • Every image comes with a 5MB jpeg for viewing and tiff for printing up to 8”x12”.

  • A $30 fee is applied for any job less than $500 to cover equipment setup and admin costs. 


ADDITIONAL FEES / FILE REQUIREMENTS

  • For any one way distance more than 20 miles I apply gas mileage  (65.5 cents in 2023) to my two way trip.

  • For customized image sizing/editing requirements there will be a 15% fee per image.

  • I do NOT provide RAW files to clients.


TURNAROUND TIME AND IMAGE DELIVERY

  • Typically I have proofs ready in 5-7 business days. Proofs are my initial selection of the images with basic editing applied, they are for you to finalize on the ones you would like to keep and are by no means the final images. Based on your requirement I will then perform more nuanced editing.

  • When the images are finalized I will send you the final invoice. When full payment is received you will receive the photos with the watermark removed. This process usually takes between 1-2 business days.  

  • If you need the images ready urgently please let me know in advance, there will be a rush fee of 10% of the job.

  • I email my clients their photos a download link via Wetransfer.
