Photography Rate

Everyone’s work is different; my rate depends on the type of work and time spent on photographing and editing. Below is a general idea of what to expect. You can contact me directly for an estimate. When inquiring about a quote, please tell me: the quantity, approximate dimensions of the work, and a brief description of the material/medium. This helps me to estimate a more accurate quote for the job.

For all the photo shoots, I use a Nikon Z8 camera with a 45.7-megapixel full-frame sensor tethered to an ASUS ProArt Studiobook laptop via Capture One. For lenses, I use a NIKKOR Z 50mm f/1.2 S, a NIKKOR AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 ED, and a NIKKOR AF-S 14-24mm f/2.8 ED. I edit my images on a BenQ monitor that is regularly calibrated.

EXHIBITION DOCUMENTATION

Photographed in the ambient light of the gallery/exhibition space, they’re mainly photos of multiple art pieces installed in a gallery space. For individual artwork please refer to Object Photography below.

Individual Package (Artist / Solopreneur / Non-profit Space): $500

  • Up to 20 images per exhibition

  • Each image comes with

    • Full-size JPEG: 7-9 MB, Adobe RGB color space (for general printing)

    • High-res JPEG: 3000 pixels at 72 PPI, sRGB color space (for websites like callforentry.org)

    • Low-res JPEG: 1080 pixels at 72 PPI, sRGB color space (for emails)

    • TIFF: 8” x 12”at 600PPI (for archiving and high quality printing)

  • A customized color profile, basic color correction, lens correction, and basic retouching are included

  • Extensive retouching, please discuss prior to the photo shoot

  • Additional images start at $30 per image

Organisation Package (Gallery / Museum): $1200 day rate

  • Up to 40 images per exhibition

  • Each image comes with

    • Full-size JPEG: 7-9 MB, Adobe RGB color space (for general printing)

    • High-res JPEG: 3000 pixels at 72 PPI, sRGB color space (for websites like callforentry.org)

    • Low-res JPEG: 1080 pixels at 72 PPI, sRGB color space (for emails)

    • TIFF: 8” x 12”at 600PPI (for archiving and high quality printing)

OBJECT PHOTOGRAPHY / CATALOGUING

This type of service includes photographing 2D (drawing, painting, photographs, framed prints, etc.) or 3D (free-standing sculptures, textile-based work, jewelry, etc.). Each individual piece of art is photographed with professional studio strobe lights.

If a studio space is needed for the photoshoot, please contact me with the dimensions of your work to check the availability of my studio located in Midtown Sacramento. The client is responsible for transporting the work.

Artists / Curators / Collectors / Galleries:

  • Rate for 2D: starting at $40 per image. (The final rate is determined by the size, medium, and finish of the work)

  • Rate for 3D: starting at $50 per image. (Photographing 3D work generally necessitates more time and attention to lighting in order to best accentuate the physical quality of the work)

  • Each image comes with

    • High-res JPEG: 3000 pixels at 72 PPI, sRGB color space (for websites like callforentry.org)

    • Low-res JPEG: 1080 pixels at 72 PPI, sRGB color space (for emails)

  • A $50 fee is applied to any job less than $500 to cover equipment setup and admin costs. 


ADDITIONAL FEES

  • For any one-way distance more than 20 miles, I apply gas mileage  (72.5 cents in 2026) to my two-way trip.

  • A rush fee is applied for a turnaround time of less than 48 hours. Please contact me prior to booking.

  • A typical session is 3-5 hours. For any photography session that takes longer than 5 hours, where the client requires 10 images or less, I charge an additional fee based on the overall hours spent on shooting and editing to complete the job at $75 per hour. 

BOOKING AND IMAGE DELIVERY

  • A deposit of $75 is required for booking an appointment. The fee will be subtracted from the final invoice.

  • The client receives proofs in 5 business days. Proofs are low-res images with basic editing applied; they are for the client to finalize the ones they would like to keep and are by no means the final images. 

  • The client has 15 days to respond/finalize the proofs. An invoice will be issued if no response is received from the client.

  • When full payment is received, the client receives the final files with the watermark removed. This process usually takes between 1 and 2 business days.  

  • Clients receive their photos via a WeTransfer download link that is available for 30 days. Download instructions will be provided.

  • I do not provide RAW files to clients.
